Chenguang Research Institute of Chemical Industry, China National Blue Star Co. was set up in 1965 on the basis of some specialties in the former Beijing Chemical Institute, Shenyang Chemical Institute and Shanghai Medical Institute. Since the founding of the institute for more than 30 years, the institute has completed more than 800 items in the fields of State 863 High-Tech Projects, state scientific research program and national key military industrial projects, and achieved 500 items of scientific research achievements. Among them, 300 items won prizes issued by the state, province and ministries, and 60 items applied for China creative patent or new applicable patent, from which 40 items enjoyed the right of patent. and has passed ISO9001:2000 conformity of quality system certification now.
 
        Chenguang Research Institute of Chemical Industry became a member of China Blue-Star (Group) General Co. on July 1,1999. At present, it becomes a scientific enterprise for the research, design, production and sale of polymer chemical materials. The National Engineering Center for Plastic with Mechanical Structure, the National Engineering Center for Silicone, the National Quality Test Center for Plastic Standardization, the Association of China Plastic Standardization, the National Information Center of Plastics and Plastic Industry, the Silicone Committee under China Association of Organofluorine and Silicone, Material Industry as well as two magazines CHINA PLASTICS INDUSTRY and SILICONE MATERIAL Editorial Offices are backed up in the institute.
 
        Engineering Plastics Company of Chenguang Research Institute of Chemical Industry, China National Blue Star Co. which is based on the National Research Center for Structural Plastic, has been researching ﹠developing on RPM Series Red Phosphorus Based Flame Retardant masterbatch, melamine additives, GM Series Of Silicone Additive for Plastics (siloxane additive), polypropylene grafted with maleic anhydride and Polyamide、PBT、POM toughening additive, among which RPM Series Red Phosphorus Based Flame Retardant passed technical identification of Chemical Industry Ministry in 1997,and won the Third Class Award of Science and Technology Advancement of National Petrifaction Office. Now there is a manufacture scale of 3000tons annual in our company.
